February 06, 2004Rumor: A Kerry Affair & Push PollingRumor has it that John Kerry (D) is going to be outed by Time Magazine next week for having an affair with a 20 year old woman who remains unknown. The affair supposedly took place intermittently right up to Kerry's Fall 2002 announcement of candidacy. At present, this is nothing more than a rumor; http://www.watchblog.com/thirdparty/archives/000780.html Senator John Kerry (Democrat - Massachusetts)Voting Record -- Impeachment Trial of William (Bill) Jefferson ClintonCongressional Record Page S1620, February 12, 1999 Well, the President is certainly a sinner. We all are. And he may even have committed a crime. But just plain and simply measured against the test of history so eloquently articulated by the Senator from New York this morning and by the Senator from Delaware yesterday, just plain and simply, this is not in any measure on the order of high a crime and misdemeanor so clearly contemplated by the Founding Fathers. So, some of you may say, So what? The President lied. The President obstructed justice. No one made him behave as he did. And yes, you're right. The President behaved without common sense, without courage, and without honor, but we are required to measure the totality of this case. We must measure how political this may have been; whether process was absurd; whether the totality of what the President did meets the constitutional threshold set by the Founding Fathers. http://www.ameriroots.com/impeachment/senator_kerry.html
In his 1985 memoir about the war, Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. - according to Fox News Channel war historian Oliver North. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/2/10/222651.shtml John Kerry: The Chameleon Senator Despite the prayers and wishful thinking of POW/MIA families and Vietnam veteran activists, Sen. John Forbes Kerry, the "chameleon" senator from Massachusetts, was re-elected to the Senate in the 1996 election. Apparently Kerry's well publicized history as a longtime radical supporter of the Vietnamese communists and a recent flap about whether or not he is guilty of a war crime meant very little to the voters in Massachusetts. http://www.usvetdsp.com/story10.htm As part of the VVAW protest staged on the steps of the Capitol the day following the hearings, Kerry publicly discarded the combat ribbons representing the medals he’d won. The incident would come back to haunt him. In 1984, Kerry acknowledged that on that day he threw away other people’s medals as well as his ribbons. http://www.bostonphoenix.com/boston/news_features/talking_politics/documents/01426978.htm I'm sorry and terribly fearful for this state we are in. Your vote is terribly misguided, John. Now that veterans have reorganized throughout the nation as once again an important part of the growing movement, know that we shall work hard for your defeat, whether as a Presidential candidate or for another Senate term. Sincerely, S. Brian Willson, Arcata, CA http://www.brianwillson.com/awolkerry.html War Statement by John Kerry to the Senate Committee of Foreign RelationsApril 23, 1971(Audiotape, April 18, 1971) MR. CROSBY NOYES (Washington Evening Star): Mr. Kerry, you said at one time or another that you think our policies in Vietnam are tantamount to genocide and that the responsibility lies at all chains of command over there. Do you consider that you personally as a naval officer committed atrocities in Vietnam or crimes punishable by law in this country? KERRY: There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. http://www.vvaw.org/veteran/article/?id=82&hilite=kerry his voting record in the Senate have been consistantly antimilitary. http://www.doonesbury.ucomics.com/strip/dailydose/index19711021.htm http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/ In the past, you advocated constructive engagement with the communist
government in the hopes that trade and relations would eventually bring
democracy and prosperity to the Vietnamese people. The recent wave of arrests of
and harsh sentences against peaceful human rights advocates and religious
leaders proves that Communist Vietnam has not changed. They evidently believe
that they can fool U.S. elected officials and act with impunity.
"I voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean to go off to the left and say, 'I'm against everything'? Sure. Did I expect George Bush to f - - - it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did," Kerry told the youth-oriented magazine. http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/43544.htm http://www.famousidiot.com/index.php?celebrity_id=82
Skull&Bones- Kerry on 'Meet the Press'
Kerry's mother, Rosemary, was a member of the Boston Brahmin Forbes family, whose wealth is drawn primarily from massive land holdings on Cape Cod. His father, Richard, came from a well-off Boston family.Kerry attended boarding school in Switzerland. Today, Kerry himself possesses such a drawing room in a six-floor brownstone on Louisburg Square, one of the most exclusive streets on Beacon Hill in Boston. Kerry owns the building with his wife, Teresa Heinz, the beautiful, charming, slightly exotic widow of Sen. John Heinz III of Pennsylvania. Born in Mozambique, Teresa was educated at the Interpreters School of the University of Geneva and speaks five languages. Upon his death in a plane crash in 1991, John Heinz left her as the principal heir to the H.J. Heinz food fortune. Forbes once placed her personal wealth at $860 million; she also heads the billion-dollar Heinz family foundation. http://www.independentsforkerry.org/uploads/media/kerry-rolling-stone.html It is these declarations that have upset the former wives of two prominent Massachusetts politicians, US Senator John F. Kerry and US Representative Joseph P. Kennedy II. In the public protests of Julia Thorne, Kerry's former wife, and Sheila Rauch Kennedy lies the private anguish of many Catholics. By 1982, he and Julia, who suffered from severe depression and had little interest in being a senator's wife, were separated. They divorced in 1988. http://www.stolaf.com/people/leming/soc260fam/news/April_15.html It is a shared passion for the environment that brought John Kerry and Teresa Heinz together. They met at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, where she had been sent as delegate by the first President Bush. She still calls John Heinz "my husband" and doesn't always correct herself -- "my late husband" -- even when Kerry is around. She still wears the blue sapphire engagement ring that Heinz gave her. http://www.post-gazette.com/nation/20020605teresanat1p1.asp http://www.hfp.heinz.org/index.html
